Ingredients
Scale
Chicken Mixture
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tablespoons cream cheese, softened
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Wraps
- 4 large flour tortillas
- Butter or cooking spray for toasting
Instructions
- Sauté Garlic: In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant, about 1 minute, to bring out its flavor but avoid burning.
- Prepare Chicken Mixture: In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, sautéed garlic, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, cream cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir thoroughly until the mixture is well blended and creamy.
- Warm Tortillas: Slightly warm the flour tortillas to make them more pliable and easier to fold without cracking.
- Assemble Wraps: Divide the chicken and cheese mixture evenly among the tortillas, spreading it across the center. If desired, sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley for a fresh herb flavor. Fold in the sides of each tortilla and roll tightly to form wraps.
- Toast Wraps: Heat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly coat with butter or cooking spray. Place the wraps seam-side down and cook for 2 to 3 minutes per side until the tortillas are golden brown and the cheese inside is melted.
- Serve: Remove from the skillet, slice the wraps if desired, and serve warm for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- Rotisserie chicken can be used for convenience.
- Adding sautéed spinach or bell peppers enhances flavor and nutrition.
- Wraps can be reheated in a skillet or air fryer with good results.
